The driver of a school bus that was involved in a fatal crash this fall has now been sentenced to 12 months probation and a $600 fine.
According to the report done by Georgia State Patrol, the driver did not complete six hours of the bus training. He also failed to stay in his lane while driving and students said that they were scared to ride with him.
He also had other driving infractions on his record including hitting a dog and hitting another bus. The mother of the teenager that was killed in the crash stormed out of the court room after the sentencing.
Bus accidents can cause serious injury or worse. Our deepest condolences are with the friends and family of the victim at this time.
