I-285 has recently been re-opened following an accident that occurred early Wednesday morning.  The accident involved a pedestrian being struck and killed,  causing the highway to be shut down for several hours. 

According to reports,  a 26 year-old-woman was attempting to cross the highway when she was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer. 

No charges have been filed against the driver of the truck. The accident is still currently under investigation.
